Extraction is one of the most common oral surgical procedures carried out in any Dental clinic. However depending on the pathology (problem) there are numerous other minor & major oral surgical procedures which may be required to prevent the progression and treatment of the disease. Most of these procedures are carried out under Local anaesthesia and is normally not associated with much pain or discomfort. Usually the patients are discharged the same day and may be recalled for regular check-up.
It is important that the patients share their medical history with the treating surgeon. Common diseases link High Blood Pressure, Diabetes, Bleeding disorders and history of drug intake/allergy must be discussed beforehand as this may have a profound impact on the success of the surgical procedure and the health and well being of the person.
